Magic Moments In Mission Beach

Mission Beach is a fantastic vacation destination no matter the time of year. The beach is always open and the moderate temperature of San Diego makes it one of the top travel spots. Our vacation homes are steps away from the beach and stocked with beach cruisers, umbrellas, sand chairs and all kinds of toys.

San Diego is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. There are 70 miles of shoreline and a diverse selection of beaches to explore—but Mission Beach is one of our go-to’s. If you like surfing, you'll be in heaven; if you prefer getting lost in your thoughts on a secluded sandy stretch, you've come to the right place.

Some of our favorite beach activities include surfing, bike riding, roller skating, boogie boarding, smash/spike ball, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and volleyball, to name just a few.

And don’t forget about Mission Bay, which is the world’s largest human-made aquatic park. The saltwater bay is connected to the Pacific Ocean by a change.

What’s the difference between Mission Beach and Mission Bay? Mission Beach proper is a peninsula that’s about a mile-and-half long by a quarter-mile wide at its widest point. The beach side is knows as Mission Beach. The bay side is known as Mission Bay.
